Japan - Day 5 - Shinjuku, Tokyo

Before heading to heading to Shinjuku, we made a pit stop in Ginza, the premium shopping district in Tokyo. I am very much a watch fanatic and had researched a watch from Japan I wanted to get while were where here. We went to Citizen's flagship Tokyo store where I picked out the one I wanted, then from there we hopped in the train to Shinjuku.

In Shinjuku we split up. Nana and Lee headed off to explore Gyoen National Garden, while Nico and I went to a cat cafe (Matthew stayed back to work on his online summer course that he's taking). The animal cafe that Nico and I found while walking around also had a rabbit cafe in it, but unfortunately the rabbit part was closed. Afterwards we headed back to the hotel to meet up with Matthew where we had a little snack at the hotel lounge. Once again we split up, Nana and the boys stayed at the hotel, they had dinner reservations at one of the nice restaurants in the hotel, while Lee and I headed back to Shinjuku for a bar hopping tour. The bar hopping tour took us to a tiny district in Shinjuku that had 55 restaurants and 15 shops in an area of about half a square block. It was very interesting to see. One of the bars we stopped at had an aisle of candy where you could fill a basket with whatever you wanted. It was a lot of fun!
